Welcome to Sherlock!

In just a few quick steps, you’ll be up and running - detecting misconduct, protecting the integrity of your interviews, and getting insights in real time.

Below is a streamlined guide to get you started.

1. Connect Your Calendar

Begin by linking Sherlock to your calendar account. This grants Sherlock visibility into your scheduled interviews so it can act autonomously when needed.

  • Click “Connect Calendar” in the Sherlock setup screen.

  • Grant permission for Sherlock to read and join events (you can choose limited access if available).

  • Once connected, you’ll see your upcoming interviews auto-populated in Sherlock’s UI.

This step ensures Sherlock always knows when and where your interviews are scheduled - without manual intervention.

2. Add Sherlock to Upcoming Interview Meetings

Now that Sherlock has calendar access, you’ll inject it into your upcoming interview events.

Here’s how:

a. Add Sherlock as a meeting participant

Go to your interview event in your calendar (Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.) and invite Sherlock’s by turning on the toggle. This makes Sherlock a formal participant in your interview.

b. Choose how you want Sherlock to safeguard interview

Sherlock offers two modes. Decide which fits your use case:

c. Sherlock will auto-join

Once the scheduled time arrives, Sherlock will automatically join the meeting as a participant. You don’t need to manually start anything. Sherlock quietly observes (or intervenes, depending on your mode).

3. Review Post-Interview Results in the Sherlock Dashboard

After your interview ends:

  1. Open the Sherlock Dashboard.

  2. Find the interview session by date, candidate name, or meeting title.

  3. Review whether the interview was compromised (i.e. cheating or policy violations detected) or cheat-free.

  4. Drill in to see AI report: timestamps, participants flagged, what triggered alerts, and any interventions made.

Your dashboard becomes the ground truth record. Use it to audit your interviews, provide accountability, or feed performance reviews.
