What is AI Subject Matter Expert (SME)?
AI Subject Matter Expert is an AI-powered reviewer that evaluates AI-generated tests based on the selected job role.
Instead of manually reviewing every question, the AI SME analyzes the test from a role-specific perspective and provides structured feedback on test quality.
How it works
Step 1: Open your AI-generated test
Go to Questionnaire in the test creation flow.
You’ll see a Test overview at the top with role, experience level, and skills.
Step 2: Start AI review
In the Test overview section, click Review this test with an AI domain expert
A short intro video explains what the AI will do:
Analyse question relevance and quality
Flag weak or misaligned questions
Suggest improved alternatives
Click Understood, start review.
Step 3: AI review runs in the background
You’ll see a progress indicator: AI review under progress
No action needed. AI scans questions section by section.
Step 4: Review flagged questions
Once analysis starts, an AI expert review modal opens for flagged questions.
You’ll see the original question with the AI feedback explaining- What needs improvement.
If you agree with the reasoning, you can go ahead and click on 'Improve the question'
Step 5: Accept or skip suggestions
For each suggestion, you can:
Accept new question → replaces the original instantly
Skip for now → keeps the original question unchanged. You can come back to this later
Accepted questions update immediately in your test.
Step 6: Confirmation and completion
After accepting a suggestion:
You’ll see a confirmation like Question has been updated
Continue reviewing remaining flagged questions (if any)
Once complete, your test reflects all accepted improvements.
