Check out the latest updates from WeCP's March 2023 development cycle!

New features 💻

  • Candidate table filters are now sharable
After a test is complete, you have curated a benchmark to shortlist candidates for the next round and you want to share this with your colleague. Rather than communicating all the metrics and their values, you can directly share the URL with them!

Check out how you can shortlist candidates via WeCP → Knowledge Base

  • Added an option for customers to download combined test reports
You can now download combined candidate test reports (across multiple tests) directly from the platform.

Use case: You conducted a campus drive in multiple slots (morning-afternoon-evening) but you want to view the list of candidates in a single excel. Rather than downloading and merging all the data and then figuring out why columns are aligned correctly, simply get the desired report from the platform.

  • Project-based assessments

    • Added support for HTML/Browser preview. Candidates can compile and see what their code looks like in real-time to give an accurate representation and help them visualize the code.

    • Added support for partial marking. Earlier candidates either got full marks or zero depending on whether they can solve all the tasks. Now, candidates get marks for solving each task which is rewarding for them and provides higher accuracy in shortlisting for the recruiter.

    • Improved the loading speed of the project interface, the terminal now loads 2x faster!

  • Added support for MS SQL
We have added support for the MS SQL compiler. Now you can assess and screen candidates on MS SQL!

  • Added go to “today” button inside the calendar
This one is for our customers who have requested to add the “Today” button on the calendar for the test scheduler.
One frequently shared feedback by customers was the pesky process of scrolling through the calendar to arrive at the current date and set up a test’s login window. WeCP gives you that desired one-click button to solve this!

  • Added support for Subjective Questions in Interviews
By empowering interviewers with this update, now you can ask candidates subjective questions across various skills to help you screen the right candidates.
Simply open the interview library > search for the skill you want > select expert-made questions that match the criteria and let the candidate do the rest.

Under the hood tuning 🛠️

  • Enhanced MCQ and subjective submissions more robust
If the candidate’s network drops mid-test, all their submissions will be safely stored on our servers. Even their last typed characters for subjective questions will be stored!

  • Enhanced all time-based audits
This change brings about a higher degree of precision in calculating how much time a candidate spent on a question, how much time a candidate spent offline vs out of the exam environment.
What does this mean for you? More reliable data and higher accuracy of data!

  • Removed bit.ly links from the product
We were using bit.ly’s URL-shortening service but this was getting blocked on a few of our customer’s internal networks.
We have replaced this with our internal service to prevent any disruptions!

Bug Fixes 🐛

  • Fixed endless loading issues encountered by pressing the Save Changes button inside the test dashboard.

  • Image upload was not getting properly checked in the environment check step for candidates causing problems inside the test → We have patched this behavior.

  • [Landing Page] Added a check to prevent saving empty fields in the test settings page which threw errors.

  • [Emails] Added calendar file integration (ical file) to reminder emails.

  • [Sign up] Few customers reported an “unknown error” message coming up when they tried starting their free trial → Our devs found the “unknown errors” and promptly fixed and patched them.

  • [Interviews] Blocked adding images in Whiteboard - caused issues in loading images for interviewers.

  • [Interviews] Fixed the end interview modal size → The previous version was taking up too much screen real estate.

  • [Interviews] Fixed the delete interview schedule modal size → The previous version was taking up too much screen real estate.
