What is Vibe Coding?

Vibe Coding is an AI-powered add-on designed to enrich project-based coding assessments. When enabled, candidates can interact with WeCP AI for contextual code suggestions, guidance, and real-time assistance—just like in modern IDEs.

This not only evaluates problem-solving skills but also tests a candidate’s ability to leverage AI effectively in real-world coding scenarios.

Key Benefits:

  • 💡 Real-time AI assistance with WeCP AI

  • 🛠️ Works inside project-type coding questions

  • 🖥️ Simulates real coding environments

  • 🔍 Evaluates adaptability, logic, and problem-solving

Where Can Vibe Coding Be Used?

  • Vibe Coding is only available for Project Questions in WeCP.

  • It does not apply to MCQs, coding challenges, or other question types.

  • By default, Vibe Coding is not enabled—you need to activate it.

How to Enable Vibe Coding

Step 1: Activate from Add-On Store

  1. Navigate to Add-On Store in your dashboard.

  2. Find Vibe Coding in the list of available add-ons.

  3. Click Activate (screenshot below).

Step 2: Enable Vibe Coding for a Project Question

  1. Open your test and go to the Question Editor.

  2. Choose or create a Project Question.

  3. Under Basic Details, toggle Vibe Coding ON.

This enables AI assistance for candidates attempting this project.

Step 3: Candidate Experience

Once enabled, candidates will:

  • Work inside a real coding environment (IDE-like).

  • Use the WeCP AI assistant (e.g., GPT-4) for contextual help, code suggestions, and debugging.

  • Access AI tools directly from the IDE sidebar.

Best Practices

  • Use Vibe Coding for scenario-based project questions where adaptability matters.

  • Clearly mention in your test instructions if AI assistance is enabled, so candidates know what to expect.

  • Track usage to ensure fair credit consumption.
