LEARNING OUTCOME
Candidates will be able to grant microphone access for their tests which have video-recording questions or audio proctoring, candidates will be prompted to activate the device's microphone in supported browsers.
Configure Browser Settings
Google Chrome
Option 1: In Chrome, a pop-up notification will appear on the Address bar in the browser window requesting permission for microphone access, click Allow.
You can click on the lock icon on the address bar of the browser to view the permissions and allow microphone access by enabling the toggle (sample image attached below).
Option 2:
A camera icon with a red cross will appear in the browser's address bar (located on the right side).
Click on this icon to expand the permissions options (reference image attached below).
Select the "Always allow" option and click Done to save your changes.

Firefox
Option 1:
In Firefox, a pop-up notification will appear on the Address bar in the browser window requesting permission (reference image attached below).
Opt in for the "Remember this decision" option and click on Allow to save your changes.
Option 2:
A blocked camera icon will be in the Address bar. Click on this icon to expand the permissions options.
Click on the Blocked option to permit access. The browser may need to be restarted if the camera is still disabled.

Apple Safari
Option 1:
In Safari, a pop-up notification will appear prompting you to change the permissions for WeCP.
Click Allow to activate the camera and microphone (reference image attached below).
Option 2: If the pop-up does not automatically appear, click on Safari under the Menu bar and open Preferences (⌘ + ,).
Select the Websites option and in the left panel for Currently Open Websites, ensure the option Allow is set for assess.wecreateproblems.com, and reload the web page.

Troubleshooting
If the camera is still not enabled, close all tabs and/or browsers, restart the browser and load the WeCP test page. Read more on Recommended browsers for tests.
-> Ensure no other application is using the camera in the background - zoom, teams, etc.
Important: Ensure that your hardware is intact and functional. The easiest way to check is to go to the Google Meet website and start a meeting with your camera-enabled. If you can see your image in the browser meeting, your camera is perfectly functional!
