This release focuses on our newest beta release of AI Communication Skill Evaluation, improving the Video Question experience in addition to reducing error cases, the all-new MS Teams Integration, and some more updates.
All-new Communication Skill Evaluation with WeCP AI (v2 Beta now out)
The v2 Beta release of Communication Skill Evaluation with WeCP AI introduces a more standardized and CEFR-aligned approach, featuring an improved AI that is more thoughtful, contextual, and consistent in evaluating communication and offers detailed reports that grade candidates’ LSRW skills with a parameter breakdown, ensuring reliable assessment and deeper insights.
We’ve introduced detailed grading for Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW) skills, categorizing candidates as native, fluent, conversational, or basic in each area. The report also offers a comprehensive breakdown of the specific parameters evaluated and their corresponding ratings.

Improved Video Question Experience
To ensure the integrity of video responses, candidates will now have a fixed 20 seconds to read the question before the 2-minute recording timer starts automatically. This change minimizes the risk of using external devices or searching for answers, reinforcing the authenticity of each response.
For a smooth candidate experience, upon landing on the question, candidates will first see a card with specific instructions, informing them that they have 20 seconds to read the question before the recording starts automatically.
For establishing a mental deterrent, the instructions also emphasize that eye and posture movements, the surrounding environment, and any tab or window changes will be monitored, with severe consequences for any violations.
Share Assessment Results with Candidates
Using Share Report with Candidate, now enable automatic feedback sharing by sending assessment results directly to candidates once they submit their assessment, ensuring they receive timely feedback without any manual intervention.
You can now enable sharing reports from Test Settings
> Candidate Test Page
> After Test
section.
MS Teams Integration
With WeCP's integration with MS Teams, you can get notified whenever a candidate submits an assessment in your dedicated MS Teams space, so you stay updated instantly without needing to check your email or the platform.
Microphone Check for Candidates
The new Microphone Test in System Check feature addresses the common issue of missing audio in Video Questions and Session Recording by requiring candidates to speak for a few seconds during the system check. Our AI then validates if audio is detected, significantly reducing the chances of audio-related problems during assessments.
Note:
Microphone test will be enabled by default for any assessment that meets any of:
Has video questions
Has Whole Screen Recording enabled
Has Audio Proctoring enabled
Skill Intelligence (open for all users)
We’re excited to announce that Skill Intelligence is now completely open for access.
Given the growing demand for a unified dashboard that consolidates all candidate-related data, we’re now opening up the Skill Intelligence dashboard to all Premium and Enterprise customers.
WeCP's Skill Intelligence aggregates data from all assessments, providing insights into the Top, Potential, and Lagging Skills of each candidate. This enables your teams to efficiently measure skill gaps and identify the best candidates for specific roles.

Changes in Password Policy
With the Password Policy Update, we are now enforcing stricter password requirements, ensuring anyone signing up to WeCP creates a secure password with the criteria:
Minimum of 6 characters
Includes at least one letter,
Includes at least one number,
and one special character,
so you can prevent data breaches and enhance overall platform security.
Note: This will not affect current users of WeCP.
Migrating from Playbacks to Whole Screen Recording
As announced four months ago, WeCP is deprecating the Playback feature in favour of the more advanced Whole Screen Recording. This update enhances the effectiveness of test monitoring, providing a real-time recording of the candidate’s entire screen, rather than relying on the previous playback method which was limited and less efficient.
We request all users to transition to the Whole Screen Recording feature, which provides continuous, high-quality recording of the entire assessment session, ensuring a more comprehensive and reliable review process.
Note: Any Playbacks recorded up until September 10 will remain available in the reports without any archiving or accessibility issues. We are committed to making sure your existing data is fully accessible even as we move forward with this enhancement.
Codestub formatting improvement
Previously, when candidates started answering a programming question, they often encountered errors in the code stub due to formatting and indentation issues. This led to a negative first impression, making candidates believe that the question itself was incorrect.
To address this, we’ve introduced automatic code stub formatting. Now, when a programming question is loaded, the system will automatically format the entire code base according to the related syntax and rules. This ensures that candidates begin with a clean and error-free code stub, allowing them to focus on solving the problem rather than troubleshooting formatting issues.
